WeWork Commits to 212K SF Near Its NYC Headquarters

WeWork has signed a lease for more downtown space that happens to be around the corner from its NY headquarters. The New York Post reported that the co-working firm has committed to 212,387 square feet at RXR Realty’s 620 Sixth Ave., and will occupy space that formerly housed Spotify and Mediaocean offices.

A spokesperson for the We Company, WeWork’s parent, told the Post the company was still deciding how to use the three floors it will occupy at 620 Sixth, located between West 18th and West 19th streets. The We Company is headquartered in 50,000 square feet at 115 W. 18th St.

JLL’s Alexander Chudnoff, James Wenk and Kenneth Siegel, with support from Kirill Azovtsev and Dan Turkewitz, represented Spotify in the disposition of its 124,550 square feet at 620 Sixth. Savills advised Mediaocean, which is moving to 120 Broadway.

WeWork negotiated directly with RXR for the space, the Post reported.
