Weston Urban is looking to build 681 apartment units and a 160-room hotel near where the San Antonio Missions baseball team is hoping to build a stadium. The two apartment towers, at 27 and 14 stories, may go up near an eight-story hotel as part of phase one of the baseball stadium proposal.

The San Antonio Business Journal reports the 27-story tower would sit at 309 W. Travis St. next to San Pedro Creek. The 14-story structure dubbed The Yard Residences would rise at 327 W. Martin St. The Yard Hotel is planned for the northwest corner of West Martin Street and South Flores Street.

The San Pedro Creek Development Authority oversees the ballpark and accompanying projects. In its inaugural meeting this past December, Weston Urban said the hotel was a key component of the plans.

The authority, composed of city, county and Missions officials, is slated to sell bonds to fund development in a few months.
