Western Industries Claims Space at Innovation Business Park

The Austin branch of Western Industries Corp. (WIC) announced plans to relocate to Hutto, TX. The manufacturing company will take space at Titan Development’s 72-acre Innovation Park, with plans to lease 79,000 square feet. WIC will move into its new location on Schneider Boulevard by mid-summer 2019.

WIC will invest more than $3 million in the facility, with plans to expand its workforce from 75 to 145. The Hutto City Council approved a 10-year, 20% ad valorem property tax abatement to the company.

Other Austin-area companies announcing relocations to Hutto in the past year include Paradigm Metals and BryComm. WIC has had an Austin-area presence for 25 years, and also operates manufacturing facilities in Dallas, Wichita, KS and Reynosa, Mexico.
