Westcore Acquires San Jose Industrial in $21M Deal
National industrial real estate investor Westcore has acquired an 81,475-square-foot warehouse property located at 1800 Dobbin Dr. in San Jose, CA, for $20.5 million. The property is in direct proximity to the Berryessa Transit Center, part of a 10-mile, $2.3-billion extension of the BART lines that opened for rapid bus service in December 2019, and will commence with BART service later this year.
The undisclosed seller was represented by Marcus & Millichap’s Jeff Ida, and will lease back part of the building, which, including one other tenant, was 100% occupied at time of sale.
According to Westcore’s Peter Mette, “We like the relationship of supply and demand for industrial properties that accommodate mid-sized tenants, particularly for infill locations. With this acquisition, we were also attracted by the strong economy in San Jose and Silicon Valley, and the property’s location proximate to the new Berryessa BART station.”
Connect Bay Area 2020 is coming to San Francisco on April 23. For more information, or to register, click here.
