2,200 acre mixed-use community planned for Western Travis County

West Travis County Site for 2,200 Acre Master Planned Community

The developers are basically building a community from scratch. Thomas Ranch will have access to Lake Travis, will sit on 2,200 acres and will include a wide range of uses. Besides thousands of homes, the development will have apartments, shopping centers, a resort hotel and spa and a number of entertainment and restaurant venues. The planners are including an extensive network of trails as well, with over 700 acres of open space.

Blakefield is the leading developer on the project. โ€œThis is a full community built to have the heart and personality of a real Hill Country town, with everything from beautiful homes and apartments at a range of prices, a resort hotel for visitors, merchants and restaurants that the region can enjoy and offices to encourage working close to home,” said Blakefield’s Tom D’Alesandro.

The plans call for more than 250,000 square feet of retail, dining, and office services in a downtown district. Construction is slated to begin in 2023 with a phased development process.
