West Texas 7-Eleven Stores Rebranding under the DK Logo

7-Eleven stores throughout Central and West Texas and New Mexico are going away. Specifically, the stores, owned by Southwest Convenience Stores (a subsidiary of Delek U.S. Holdings), are being rebranded as DK Stores. The name change is due to termination of a licensing agreement between Delek and Irving, TX-headquartered 7-Eleven. Delek U.S. announced in late February 2019 that all stores it owned would be rebranded by Dec. 31, 2021.

Delek opened its first branded store in Midland, TX on Feb. 26, 2019. Company officials told the Midland Reporter-Telegram that all stores in Midland will be rebranded by the end of 2019. The Brentwood, TN-based Delek is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States, operating 280 locations.

Delek U.S. Holdings acquired Alon U.S.A. Energy in 2017. The company sources approximately 70% of its crude oil from the Permian Basin, and is building a gathering system around Big Spring, TX.
