West Phoenix Mixed-Use Project Starts Construction

Construction begins this month on Overland Group’s Avondale Commons, a 22.6- acre mixed-use development on the northwest corner of Avondale Boulevard and McDowell Road.  The project will bring four luxury apartment buildings, a hotel, two restaurants, four office buildings and many retail shops to the area.  The first portion of the four-building, 39,650-square-foot medical office complex is underway and anticipated to deliver a the second quarter of 2024.

Philip Wurth of Colliers leads the leasing team for the project,  “The vibrant mix of residential, employment, hospitality and retail amenities all on one site within this project will make Avondale Commons a true destination within the market.”

The office and retail space wil be finished in 18 months and is available for pre-leasing. The luxury apartments are scheduled to be completed in 30 months, shortly followed by the hotel and conferencing facilities.

Overland Group is the developer and the general contractor.
