West Loop Attracts Healthy Eateries

New healthy eateries are the latest additions to the West Loop’s growing dining scene.

The pan-Asian H Mart entered the city of Chicago for the first time in February, when it opened its store at 711 W. Jackson Blvd. The grocery also features three restaurant stalls: SGD Tofu House and Korean Barbecue serves Korean favorites; Izakaya Yume has ramen and sushi burritos, among other fare; and Baru, a fusion concept, promises skinless “healthy fried chicken.”

Coming to 204 N. Wells St. in March will be Veggie Grill, which just opened its first outlet in the city, in Lakeview. Veggie Grill, which is popular on the West Coast, plans to eventually open up to eight restaurants in Chicago land.
