West Elm Rolls into Solana Beach’s Cedros Design District
April 6, 2017
Brooklyn, NY-based West Elm plans to open a store in the heart of Solana Beach’s eclectic Cedros Design District later this fall. The nearly 11,000-square-foot store will be its second San Diego location.
West Elm, a member of Williams–Sonoma’s portfolio of brands, is slated to be the anchor retailer of the North County center located at 212 South Cedros Ave. Plans to renovate the street front retail project are underway, which also includes an additional 5,575 square feet of retail space.
CBRE’s Dave Hagglund and Robert Gunness represented the owner, San Diego-based Brixton Capital, which acquired the 16,579-square-foot project last year. CBRE’s Carrie Bobb and Scott Muller represented the tenant.
The property has a long history on Cedros, including original development as a roller rink in the 1970s, followed by conversion into the Antique Mall in 1982.
