West Austin Mixed-Use Development Breaks Ground

CWS Capital Partners launched construction on a West Austin mixed-use project at 1301 W. Fifth St. The project is scheduled to open in late 2018, and will include 2,200 square feet of ground-floor retail, and 226 rental units. Oden Hughes LLC is the general contractor, and Kelly Grossman Architects is the designer.
The development will offer one, two and three-bedroom units, with 10% available at below-market rental rates to qualified households. Amenities include a fifth-floor lounge and deck, a resort-style pool and sundeck, a dog park and bicycle workshop.
“This area along the West Fifth Street corridor is where Old West Austin meets an increasingly contemporary downtown,” said Jarrett Sullivan with CWS Capital Partners. “We designed the project to reflect that by combining traditional building materials in a more modern design.”
