Wellington Investor Planning Hotel/Condo/Retail Project

Wellington Lifestyle Partners (WLP) wants to rezone a current office property to mixed-use to build an 80-room boutique hotel, 89 condos, 49,000 square feet of Class A office, 35,000 square feet of retail, 33,000 square feet of restaurants and 629 parking spaces.

The S. Florida Business Journal reports WLP previously won approval for a club community called the Wellington. It’s slated for luxury homes, townhouses and condos, along with a golf course and numerous club amenities. The mixed-use Marketplace at Wellington would be located right outside the main gate of the new club community.

The mixed-use buildings would rise three stories, with retail and restaurants on the ground floors, and offices and condos on the top two floors. The hotel would be four stories, pending village approval.

The village of Wellington’s Planning, Zoning and Adjustment Board will consider the rezoning later this month.
