Pepper Square Renovation green lighted

Well-Known Dallas Retail Center to be Transformed

Dallas City Council voted to change the zoning on an aging strip mall at the southeast corner of Preston Road and Belt Line Road into a mixed-use project.

Henry S. Miller has received zoning approval to convert a 198,000-square-foot strip mall called Pepper Square at the southeast corner of Preston Road and Belt Line Road into something new. Plans call for a 12-story high-rise building with apartments and retail. The new zoning will allow nearly 1,000 apartment units and at least 35,000 square feet of retail and personal service use.

Pepper Square was built in the late 1970s and is about 70% leased. Major tenants include Trader Joe’s, Hobby Lobby and Pet Supplies Plus.

For over 110 years the Henry S. Miller family of companies has provided a complete array of commercial real estate services in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
