Weitzman Readies to Redevelop 240K-SF Irving Towne Center

Weitzman is preparing a major renovation to the Irving Towne Center, a 240,000-square-foot retail center at 3401 W. Airport Fwy. (SH 183) in Irving, TX. The renovation is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2020.

Hodges & Associates is the architect for the remodel; Weitzman’s Jennifer Chandler has oversight of the project, and the company’s Kathy Detrick is handling construction on behalf of the joint-venture ownership. Lynn Van Amburgh and Javier Menendez, also with Weitzman, are the property’s leasing agents.

The renovation will focus on upgrading signature elements of the center’s façade, along with a new color scheme, signage, landscaping, parking and lighting. Lifestyle additions will include seating, arbors and green space. The retail center opened in 1986, is anchored by Target, and has a mix of well-known tenants including Tuesday Morning, On the Border, Chili’s Potbelly, Car Toys, Cato and Al’s Formal Wear.
