With the groundbreaking of the 115-acre Northline in the rearview mirror, Northline Leander Development Co. and the city of Leander, TX have hired Weitzman to fill the mixed-use project’s retail component. Current plans call for 300,000 square feet of retail, along with 700,000 square feet of office, and 2,300 apartment units in the far north Austin suburb of Leander.

“We are already seeing a lot of interest in the retail at Northline, because of the strength of the location, and the strong mix of uses,” said Weitzman’s Nick Naumann who, with colleague Matt Epple, is in charge of retail leasing.

Northline is situated between SH 183 and 183A, in the center of a transit-oriented development. The first phase involves infrastructure buildout. The next step will focus on development of Town Square, a civic space surrounded by a retail core, with office space, hotel and residential on the upper levels.
