Weiss Realty Taps JLL to Lease Former Caterpillar Warehouse

Moonachie, NJ-based Weiss Realty appointed JLL’s Industrial Group in Chicago, led by SVP Conor Mullady, to oversee the leasing of a 488,000-square-foot warehouse located at 2500 N. 22nd St., Decatur, IL. The property, part of a 650,000-square-foot industrial park spanning 138 acres, is available for immediate occupancy.

Formerly occupied by Caterpillar, the warehouse represents a prime opportunity for industrial tenants seeking well-positioned logistics or manufacturing space in the Midwest, according to Weiss Realty.

“We are excited to partner with JLL’s Chicago Industrial team under the expert guidance of Conor Mullady to attract new tenants to this strategically located property,” said president Jaime Weiss. “This warehouse is ideally suited for companies looking to expand in the Decatur area, a key industrial hub with excellent transportation infrastructure.”

The Decatur property was originally acquired by Weiss Realty from Firestone in 2003 as part of a broader portfolio of industrial assets. Caterpillar had been a long-term tenant for over 15 years but has since consolidated its Decatur warehousing operations into a company-owned facility.
