Weinstein Pays $135M for Duluth, GA Multifamily

Weinstein Properties has acquired the 390-unit Haven at Sugarloaf apartment community for $135 million from Brand Properties. The community, which has since been renamed Bexley Sugarloaf, is located on 17 acres off of Old Satellite Boulevard.

Opened in 2022, Bexley Sugarloaf includes 12,000 square feet of retail space along with 12 townhomes. Part of the acquisition was financed by a loan for $82.5 million from the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America.

The seller was represented by Robert Stickel, Alex Brown and Ashlyn Warren of Cushman & Wakefield. The deal was the largest multifamily transaction completed in Gwinnett County this year.

Since Weinstein entered the Atlanta market last year, it has completed three acquisitions.
