Weingarten Realty Sells 174K-SF Northbrook Shopping Center

Weingarten Realty ended its very long hold on Northbrook Shopping Center in Houston, selling the 171,181-square-foot retail property to the Wu Family Trust. Mark Witcher, Chris Cozby, Jim Batjer and Blaine Dozier with CBRE represented the local seller in the transaction.

Situated on 15 acres at 5264 W. 34th St., Northbrook Shopping Center is 96.6% occupied, with a 17.9-year average historical occupancy for anchor tenants. Anchor tenants include El Rancho Supermarket, Office Depot and Dollar Tree.

“Northbrook’s long-term stability, high retention ratio and below-market rents garnered a significant amount of interest,” Witcher said. “The location in the highly-populated and underserved northwest Houston submarket made this a fantastic opportunity for investors.”
