Webster Lands 12,500-Seat Amphitheater

Venu Holding Corp. is committed to opening a 12,500-seat, multiseasonal amphitheater on 34 acres in Webster, near the Great Wolf Lodge. The venue will be situated in Webster’s Flyway district.

The $150 million Sunset Amphitheater Houston at Webster powered by Eight Elite Light Beer will be created through a public-private partnership among Venu, the city and the Webster Economic Development Corp. The parties expect to finalize a definitive development agreement for the project in the coming weeks and months.

Sunset Amphitheater Houston will feature a canopy roof, wind walls and state-of-the-art audio-visual systems. Venu’s signature Luxe FireSuites will surround the Aikman Club, a 350-member membership club.

The Webster Economic Development Corp. is developing Flyway, which started construction soon after Great Wolf. The 80-acre development is designed to include 1.6 million square feet of bars, restaurants and retail; an event lawn that could house outdoor concerts and movie nights; and a boardwalk overlooking Clear Creek.
