W&D Secures $103M Refi for Casa Cipriani

Walker & Dunlop, Inc., Capital Markets arranged a $103 million CMBS loan with Citigroup, JP Morgan, and Argentic for refinancing Casa Cipriani, a boutique hotel, members club, and event space in the Financial District.

The historic Battery Maritime Building, now Casa Cipriani, was redeveloped in 2021 into a luxury hotel, club, and event space. The Walker & Dunlop team, led by Aaron Appel, advised clients Cipriani, Midtown Equities, and Centaur Properties.

“Casa Cipriani is an irreplaceable asset and premier destination in NYC,” said Appel. Despite capital market challenges, the property’s quality and performance attracted competitive financing. “The quality of the product delivered by the clients, in addition to the outstanding economic performance of the property, resulted in a highly competitive financing process despite the challenges in today’s capital markets environment.”
