Wayfinder Real Estate to Build 321-Unit Troubadour

Mac McElwrath (former managing director with multifamily development firm Oden Hughes LLC) and Chris Sipes (former managing partner and chief investment officer with family office/investment manager Caprock Partners) joined forces to create Wayfinder Real Estate. And, the new company is readying to break ground on its first endeavor, the 321-unit Troubadour.

The development will be on 2.3 acres at Concordia Avenue and Interstate 35, within Austin’s University Park. The 22-acre University Park formerly held the Concordia University campus. The six-story project, one mile north of downtown Austin, is scheduled to open in late 2021. Upon completion, the Troubadour will offer one, two and three-bedroom units, a resort-style pool, a fitness center and two rooftop decks.

The developer plans future multifamily and mixed-use developments in employment centers and high-growth areas throughout Texas.
