Waterton Hires SVP Investor Relations 

National real estate investor and operator Waterton hired Matt Porath as an SVP of investor relations. Based out of Cleveland, Porath brings more than 15 years of investor relations, housing research and wealth management experience to Chicago-based Waterton.  

In his new role, Porath will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with prospective investors in the eastern U.S. and Canada along with leading the firm’s multifamily fundraising strategies in Europe and the Middle East.  

Porath was formerly managing director of investor relations at Citymark Capital, where he was responsible for coordinating fundraising and business development initiatives with existing and prospective investors in the firm’s private equity real estate funds.  

Prior to Citymark, he worked for Zelman & Associates, where he managed relationships with clients including top domestic and international hedge funds, mutual funds, pension funds, private equity firms and quantitative funds.
