Waterford Proposes $225M MXU in Santa Ana

Newport Beach-based Waterford Property Company unveiled plans for Central Pointe, a $225-million luxury mixed-use, transit-oriented project in Santa Ana. The proposed 644-unit multifamily development is located in the Metro East Mixed Use District near the convergence of the 5 and 55 Freeways.

The project’s two five-story buildings will wrap central parking structures on a vacant, eight-acre lot at 1801 E. Fourth St. Central Pointe will include 15,000 square feet of street-fronting retail and restaurant space and parking for 1,318 cars.

The developer says the project will be geared towards Millennial renters who seek to be near amenities, transit and Orange County’s major employment nodes. The project is located near the Santa Ana Regional Transportation facility.

The unit mix includes studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The project will include green space as well as two rooftop decks.
