Water Conservation Mandates Go Into Effect

Water conservation efforts have gone in to effect statewide, and San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer spoke to the public yesterday and urged them to take conservation seriously.

San Diego faces a 16 percent conservation mandate, modest compared to the maximum 36 percent reduction for water districts such as the Santa Fe Irrigation District, which includes Rancho Santa Fe; and the heavily agricultural Valley Center Municipal Water District.
