Washington Trust Promotes Four to EVP

The Washington Trust Company, a community bank headquartered in Westerly, RI, has promoted four senior managers to EVP. They include the following: 

  • Anthony Botelho, EVP and chief commercial lending officer. Botleho, who leads Washington Trust’s Commercial and Industrial Lending and Cash Management groups, joined the bank in 2021 with more than 35 years’ expertise in relationship management, private banking, commercial real estate, and market development. 
  • Elizabeth Boyle Eckel, EVP, chief marketing & corporate communications officer. 
  • James A. Mignone, EVP, chief information officer. Mignone leads Washington Trust’s bank operations and technology teams with more than 35 years’ experience in the financial, technology auditing, and banking industries. 
  • Julia Anne M. Slom, EVP and chief commercial real estate lending officer. Slom is credited with developing the bank’s CRE Group in 2013 and oversees the retention and growth of its loan portfolio, along with outreach, support, and loan development for small businesses.
