Washington Prime Adds RoomPlace at 3 Centers

Retail REIT Washington Prime Group is adding home furnishings retailer The RoomPlace to its tenant mix at three of its enclosed shopping centers. Taken together with the existing RoomPlace location at Washington Prime’s Northwoods Mall in Peoria, IL, the new leases comprise over 250,000 square feet.

Washington Prime has finalized leases with The RoomPlace at the following locations:

– Dayton Mall in Dayton, OH, where it will occupy newly-created inline space;
– Lincolnwood Town Center in Lincolnwood, IL, where it’s replacing Carson Pirie Scott;
– The Mall at Fairfield Commons (pictured), also in Dayton, where it will complement the reimagined property’s hybrid town center format.

“If I haven’t mentioned tenant diversification at least one hundred times, I haven’t mentioned it once,” said Washington Prime CEO Lou Conforti. “One of the categories which we, and, most importantly our guests, have identified as a driver of demand is home furnishings.”
