Washington Gov. Inslee Issues Updated Reopening Guidance

Washington Governor Jay Inslee released additional guidance this week to Washington’s Safe Start phased reopening plan that comes on top of last week’s guidance updates following the extension of the proclamation. He outlined the updates that pertain to gatherings, live entertainment, restaurants and taverns, entertainment and recreational centers, card rooms, movie theaters, and weddings and funerals and builds upon guidance released last week.

Gov. Inslee revised the maximum limits of individuals participating in gatherings not exceed 10 people, prohibited live entertainment in Phases 1 through 3 and all modified phases of the Safe Start Plan, and adjusted various other provisions of the Safe Start Plan.

All alcohol service at restaurants must end at 10 p.m., starting July 30. Restaurant occupancy is reduced to 50% and the maximum table size is 5 people, in Phase 3. Indoor service at bars, taverns, breweries, wineries and distilleries is prohibited.

Inslee also extended the pause indefinitely on counties moving ahead in the Safe Start Washington plan.
