Wasabi Sushi & Bento Renews Midtown Retail Lease with Handler

Handler Real Estate Organization has renewed a long-term lease with Wasabi, the London-based sushi and bento chain, at its 561 7th Avenue property in Manhattan.

Wasabi has occupied the two-floor, 3,400-square-foot space since 2014 when it opened as its flagship US location. The restaurant will modernize the space, including a refreshed interior, updated external signage, and a re-invigorated hot food offer, with plans to unveil the new look in late 2024 or early 2025.

The property is an 81,214-square-foot office tower with 24/7 access, attended lobby, and on-site security. Other hotels and eateries, such as Margaritaville, Yard House, and Pink Taco, have recently joined Wasabi in the immediate area, according to Scott Galin, principal and CEO of Handler Real Estate Organization.
