Walton Global Sells 48 Acres to D.R Horton

Walton Global has sold Phase I of the Ladysmith Village Master Plan, covering 48.246 acres to D.R. Horton, the nation’s largest homebuilder. This phase comprises 152 residential lots in Caroline County, north of Richmond, VA. The conceptual plan for the new property is comprised of single-family dwelling units and townhome units.

“We’re closely monitoring the increase of Virginia’s economy to identify regions where we can offer our support, and Caroline County has proven to have a strong path of growth” said Michael Slavotinek, vice president, Mid-Atlantic and the Carolinas at Walton Global.

The other portion of the Master Plan that is partially completed is known as Ladysmith Village Founder’s Park. Amenities include a 14,000-square-foot Resident’s Center, outdoor amphitheater, a library, numerous parks and outdoor amenity spaces. The single-family floor plans previously offered in the community featured three to five bedrooms and ranged from approximately 1,774 to 2,893 square feet.
