Walmart Supercenter to Join Costco, Target in Liberty Hill
The town of Liberty Hill only has 13,000 people, but is drawing the attention of some of the nation’s largest retailers.
Liberty Hill will soon be home to a Walmart Supercenter. It will have a footprint of 176,246 square feet. The development is expected to cost $12.2 million to build. Construction is expected to begin in late October 2026 and to open its doors in mid-November 2027. Walmart will be part of Santa Rita Ranch Center, a 400,000-square-foot retail project being developed in Santa Rita Ranch.
Costco Wholesale opened in Liberty Hill in March 2026, and Target is slated to open on October 11.
Other projects earmarked for Liberty Hill include a future Casey’s General Store, a La Tequila Jalisco Mexican restaurant as well as a T.J. Maxx department store.
