Walmart Supercenter Debuts at Rialto Marketplace
Walmart Supercenter opened at NewMark Merrill Companies’ Rialto Marketplace in Rialto, CA. The store anchors the $70-million, 239,552-square-foot neighborhood shopping center, 13 years in the making, that’s nearly 100% leased.
NewMark Merrill’s Sandy Sigal says, “As the Rialto Marketplace continues to take shape, it’s increasingly clear that the new retail destination will be an exciting retail, dining and service based destination with many of the stores, restaurants and services people in Rialto want.”
The Woodland Hills, CA-based developer partnered with El Segundo, CA-based Pacific Retail Partners, the City of Rialto, as well as Wal-Mart, which is relocating and expanding from its current, smaller store a block away. Located at San Bernardino Avenue and Riverside Avenue, Rialto Marketplace will employ more than 200 full-time employees, help revitalize the south portion of Rialto, and bring new tax income to the community.
