Construction is underway on the Walking Stick Brewing Co., located in the Garden Oaks Neighborhood of Houston. The 1,600-square-foot metal warehouse, at 957 Wakefield Dr. on Houston’s north side, is scheduled for a mid-2018 opening.

Owner Andy Dunn, who hails from Colorado, told the Houston Business Journal that, once operational, the Walking Stick Brewing Co. will produce 2,000 barrels a year. Dunn’s plan, with partner Ramon Duran, includes a taproom and outdoor patio that could serve up to 100 customers.

Houston-based HFL Construction is the general contractor, which began construction in December 2017. Two construction permits have been filed, totaling $750,000.
