Walker & Dunlop Strengthens CA Capital Markets Team

Bethesda, MD-based Walker & Dunlop expanded its loan origination platform with the addition of a new team in Irvine, CA. Mark Strauss and Rob Quarton joined its Capital Markets group from Cohen Financial.

Walker & Dunlop’s Cliff Carnes says, “Mark and Rob are the ideal additions to our platform as we continue to expand the size of our Capital Markets team. Mark’s decades of industry experience and leadership track record combined with Rob’s impressive skill set and capital markets expertise will make this team an incredible asset to Walker & Dunlop.”

Strauss, a founding member of Cohen’s equity practice, brings more than three decades of CRE finance experience. He’s arranged debt and equity for more than 23,000 apartment units, seven million square feet of industrial and office space, and more than three million square feet of retail space.

Quarton’s 15-year CRE career includes arranging more than $6 billion in financing.
