Walker & Dunlop Gets Back in the Office at Newly Designed Headquarters
Bethesda, MD-based Walker & Dunlop has moved into new headquarters at The Wilson. The move illustrates the company’s “get vaccinated; get back in the office” philosophy supported by data from Gensler, a global design firm and the designer of Walker & Dunlop’s new 59,000-square-foot space.
The new headquarters space was designed to invoke the experience of home and to connect employees and visitors while promoting a sense of belonging, for example through a three-story staircase that helps foster movement throughout the floors and encourages creating engaging moments under one roof. According to the company, culture and purpose reign supreme with the intent of bringing employees together to safely collaborate.
The space is arranged with a hybrid work model in mind due to Walker & Dunlop’s policy of three days in the office. Covid design considerations include glass dividers; more than 6’ of workspace; touchless fixtures; advanced MEP and an overall focus on mental wellness.
