Walker & Dunlop Expands to Detroit with New Hires

Walker & Dunlop has hired David Wilkins (pictured) as managing director and Charlie Krisfalusi as VP in its FHA Finance group, in the process establishing the firm’s presence in the Detroit market. Both Wilkins and Krisfalusi are focused on originating loans in the Midwest, and have expertise in the lending programs of HUD, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.

“The team has broad experience structuring agency loans, including an impressive depth of knowledge of HUD’s specialized products for construction, affordable, and low-income housing tax credit transactions,” said EVP Michelle Warner. “David and Charlie will be valuable assets to our growing FHA Finance team.”

Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Wilkins and Krisfalusi originated multifamily loans at Pillar Financial, a division of SunTrust Bank. Wilkins previously was the principal of GTC Finance, a loan brokerage firm that he founded in 1995.
