Walker & Dunlop Arranges $65M Refi for KC Office Plaza

Walker & Dunlop has arranged $65 million in refinancing for the Plaza Vista Offices in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Walker & Dunlop Kansas City Capital Markets team led by Joseph Platt arranged the loan as an exclusive advisor to client Platform Ventures LLC. Walker & Dunlop originated the loan through Bank of America to secure the fixed-rate permanent debt financing.

Located at 900 W 48th St., Plaza Vista Offices is a mixed-use development that includes a 10-story office building totaling 253,736 square feet, situated above a 950-space underground parking garage.

“Challenges within the current debt capital markets for financing the office sector are universally acknowledged,” said Joseph Platt, Managing Director, Kansas City Capital Markets. “However, given the very high-quality sponsorship in Kansas City-based Platform Ventures, a long-term lease to Kansas City-based Polsinelli as their headquarters within the Country Club Plaza, and a longstanding relationship with the lender (Bank of America), a combined and collaborated effort to overcome the known challenges was integral to a successful execution of this opportunity.”
