Wagner Tuning Selects Kilgore for U.S. Ops

Wagner Tuning, a German high-performance auto parts manufacturer, will be bringing its American operations to Kilgore, TX. The company is relocating from its current location in Fresno, CA, to a currently under-construction, 60,000-square-foot speculative building at Synergy Park, on the northeast side of the East Texas town.

Wagner Tuning signed a 20-year lease for the facility, which is scheduled for completion in January 2020. The total investment will total approximately $9 million, with 30 jobs created.

The Kilgore Economic Development Corp. indicated that the deal took two years to nail down, with a Wagner official visiting three additional East Texas communities. There is also discussion between the new company and Kilgore College for development of an apprenticeship program, similar to the norm in Germany.
