Wacker Drive Office Tower Listed for Sale

One of Canada’s largest public pension funds, CDPQ, has tapped JLL to market its office building at 125 South Wacker in Chicago for sale.

The 576,788-square-foot, 31-story West Loop property is located on the northeast corner of Wacker Drive and Adams Street. The fund’s Montreal-based Ivanhoé Cambridge real estate arm has owned the tower since it bought the property for $145 million in 2017, reported Crain’s.

JLL’s Bruce Miller, Jaime Fink, Pat Shields and Sam DiFrancesca are marketing the building for sale. The property is listed as an investor opportunity, with nearly $21 million of capital invested since 2017, including modernizing building systems and renovating both the lobby and amenities in 2019. 125 South Wackert is situated one block from Union Station and three blocks from Ogilvie Transportation Center.
