W. Silver Recycling Unveils Plans for 120K-SF Processing Facility
W. Silver Recycling Inc. is planning to build a 120,000-square-foot scrap-metal processing facility in Santa Teresa, NM. The El Paso-headquartered company will invest $7 million in the development, which will be in the Santa Teresa Gateway Rail Park, formerly known as the Intermodal Park.
The New Mexico Economic Development Department agreed to give the company a $200,000 grant from a state incentives fund when the company adds 50 jobs at the new facility, which is scheduled to open by the end of this year.
“This is a significant expansion of our current operation in Santa Teresa,” said Lane Gaddy with W. Silver. “Santa Teresa is appealing to us for many reasons, including logistics, the (government) incentives environment, and the availability of land.”
