Vulcan Real Estate Provides Small Business Rent Relief
Vulcan Real Estate will not collect rent from its small business retail and nonprofit tenants for the month of April 2020, in response to the challenges they are facing given the COVID-19 pandemic.
“As a long-standing Seattle-based developer, we are part of the community that is navigating this extraordinarily difficult time,” said Ada M. Healey, chief real estate officer of Vulcan Inc. “We hope this action will help these small businesses weather the next phase of the COVID-19 health and economic crisis.”
This rent relief is designed to help those tenants who may be especially vulnerable during the health and economic crisis, and have the time and flexibility to access government and other resources designed to support them during this turbulent period. Vulcan says it is committed to doing its part to help those affected, and this decision brings rent relief to 40 tenants including restaurants, hair salons, non-profits and others.
