Volunteers of America has taken out a 15-year lease for its Greater New York Chapter at 135 West 50th St.

“The Volunteers of America lease kicks off the renaissance of 135 West 50th Street, a building that until very recently was fully leased for years,” said David L. Hoffman, vice chairman for Cushman & Wakefield, which represented both the tenant and the landlord. “With another 260,000 SF available and becoming available, we look forward to welcoming additional quality tenants in the near future.”

The availabilities account for close to a third of the space at the 861,000 square-foot, 23-story building. Volunteers of America will be occupying the entire ninth floor.
