Visiting Nurse Service Inks 308K-SF Deal at East 42nd

The Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) struck a deal with SL Green Realty Corp. on a 30-year leasehold condominium interest covering 308,115 square feet at 220 E. 42nd St., also known as the News Building. The non-profit organization will be relocating from 1250 Broadway, where it has occupied 320,000 square feet since 1994. The new location will be the organization’s centralized headquarters.

The deal covers part of the second floor, part of the seventh floor and the entire third, fifth and sixth floors. Also included are part of the ground and concourse levels. According to SL Green, the transaction required consolidation of many spaces, as well as upgrades to parts of the building’s infrastructure.

Tara Stacom, David E. Green Louis Wolfowitz and Mark Todrys with Cushman & Wakefield represented VNSNY in the transaction.
