Tishman Speyer and joint venture partner the San Francisco Giants have topped off construction of the first residential tower at their Mission Rock development

Visa to Move Global, North American HQ to San Francisco’s Mission Rock

Mission Rock Partners signed a lease with Visa for all of Building G, a 300,000-square-foot, 13-story office building at San Francisco’s Mission Rock mixed-use development. The location will serve as Visa’s Global and North American Headquarters.

The San Francisco Giants’ Larry Baer says, “This first lease agreement marks a critical milestone as we continue to make Mission Rock a reality.”

A public-private partnership between the Giants, Tishman Speyer and the Port of San Francisco are transforming the 28-acre development site along China Basin Park and Bridgeview Street into a waterfront mixed-use neighborhood.

Mission Rock’s full build-out will encompass up to 1.4 million square feet of new office space, roughly 1,200 residential units, more than 200,000 square feet of neighborhood serving retail and local manufacturing space, as well as eight acres of parks and open space, including a signature waterfront park.

Tishman Speyer’s Rob Speyer said,  “Visa’s early decision to establish its headquarters at Mission Rock demonstrates the company’s strong ties to San Francisco. It also reinforces our expectation that this will be the nation’s next great community with international appeal as an unsurpassed place to live, work and visit.”
