Virtual Reality Firm Expands into SoCal
San Francisco-based Upload, Inc. signed a 20,000-square-foot lease at Marina Business Center in Marina del Rey, CA. The virtual reality company’s first expansion into SoCal reflects a growing demand from virtual reality and other tech-related occupiers in the region.
Located 4505 Glencoe Ave., the creative office development features polished floors, high ceilings, a dynamic mezzanine, and various outdoor meeting areas. Exterior renovations are also underway.
Upload’s Taylor Freeman said “The Glencoe site offered the space and build-out possibilities necessary to create the home to the largest AR/VR dedicated space for Upload LA.”
CBRE’s Garrett Ellis and Carter Haslam represented the tenant, with the support of Jeff Pion and Shay Bolton. NGKF’s Christopher Strickfaden represented the landlord.
