Virtual Reality Comes to Brooklyn
A new kind of retail experience is coming to 537 Atlantic Ave. in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. YokeyPokey will open a “virtual reality arcade” in the 1,900-square-foot storefront, just two blocks away from the Barclay Center arena.
“YokeyPokey will be an interactive retail experience, giving patrons the opportunity to watch 360-degree videos, play games, or become a world traveler without leaving Brooklyn,” said James Famularo, senior director and principal for Eastern Consolidated, which represented the tenant, while the building owner, Thor Equities, was represented by its in-house team.
In addition to televisions, gaming systems and 360-degree rotation chairs, the space will include seating areas for socializing, and eventually a bar serving wine, beer, coffee and snacks.
