Virgin Hotels Sets San Francisco Opening
Virgin Group, founded by Sir Richard Branson, plans to open Virgin Hotels San Francisco this fall. The company began taking reservations for stays starting Nov. 15, 2018 at the 194-key property located at 250 Fourth St.
Two Penthouse Suites highlight the hotel, in addition to multiple dining and drinking outlets, including the brand’s flagship space, Commons Club, The Funny Library coffee shop, numerous meeting spaces, and a rooftop bar (pictured).
The hotel is situated South of Market and just steps from Yerba Buena Gardens, next to the Moscone Center expansion and a future Central Subway stop.
The ground-up development is the second Virgin Hotels property to open. The first hotel, Virgin Hotels Chicago, opened in January 2015. The company has since broken ground on sites in Dallas and New York, and has plans underway for properties in Nashville, New Orleans, Palm Springs and Silicon Valley.
