Vinson & Elkins Taps Savills for Relocation to Texas Tower

International law firm Vinson & Elkins LLP selected Savills to provide project management services for its upcoming headquarters relocation to the Texas Tower in Houston in 2022. Savills corporate managing director Ed Bowerman will oversee design and construction and will collaborate with special consultants to offer additional services.

“We are planning a strategic and innovative buildout that will accommodate the firm’s current business objectives and the future workplace standards required for a modern, post-COVID-19 office,” said Bowerman. “The location in the heart of the central business district, and in one of Texas’ premiere new office buildings, will give Vinson & Elkins strategic advantages to enhance its global presence and continue its growth.”

Located at 845 Texas Ave., the former Houston Chronicle site is a 47-story, Class AA office building scheduled to open fall 2021. It’s being developed by Hines and designed by Pelli Clark Pelli Architects.
