Video: Special Report on Coronavirus, Stock Market, Politics, Interest Rates

The coronavirus may, or may not, turn out to be the “black swan” event that many industry experts have said would be the one thing that could impact what has been the longest cycle in modern history.

However, says Marcus & Millichap CEO Hessam Nadji, “The facts are still unfolding. We don’t know the scope of the problem, and most of the media outlets are reacting to the worst-case scenario, as is the stock market. So, it’s a fear-based reaction without valid information.”

Nadji sat down Monday with Daniel Ceniceros, president of Connect Media, to discuss topics that ranged from the rollercoaster effects of the news around the developing coronavirus, to the Presidential campaign and the possibility of an interest rate reduction by the Federal Reserve. (Subsequent to this conversation, the Fed did take action.)

Click on the video below for Part I of their discussion. In part II, coming up on Thursday, the conversation turns to the property sectors and markets to invest in, and what investors are looking for.

Hessam Nadji will also be one of the featured speakers at Connect Los Angeles, coming up on March 26. Click here for more information and to register.
