Howard Hughes, the developer of Merriweather District in Columbia, has signed a 3,290-square-foot lease with Paws Up Veterinary on the ground floor of Juniper, a new mixed-use apartment building located at 6000 Merriweather Dr.

Paws Up was represented by Emory Camper with Ameriventure Commercial, and Howard Hughes was represented by Ray Schupp, Suzanne Katz and Sean Harcourt of H&R Retail.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Paws Up Veterinary to Merriweather District,” said Kristi Smith, President of the Maryland Region for Howard Hughes. “Offering exceptional care for pets and peace of mind for their owners, Paws Up is another fantastic amenity for our residents, office tenants and community.”

The Merriweather District in Columbia is a multi-phased, mixed-use project that, at full build-out, will consist of 200,000 square feet of street retail, 2 million square feet of office, nearly 1,000 new residential units, and 250 hotel rooms.
