Verizon is taking up a large chunk of office space in Sorrento Mesa.

The telecommunications firm signed a 110,000-square-foot lease at the Sorrento Enclave office complex there in a deal brokered by JLL. The facility, owned by McCarthy Cook & Co. and AllianceBernstein, will now be home to 600 Verizon employees that are relocating from various offices around the San Diego area.

Sorrento Enclave, which totals 213,000 square feet over two buildings, recently had a $38-million renovation that added a new parking garage, upgraded lobbies, as we as a new cafe and fitness center.
