Velocity Esports to Open Woodfield Mall Location in Schaumburg

Velocity Esports, an entertainment center that features arcade and console games, billiards, and a bar and grill, will open later this month at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Woodfield Mall is the largest shopping center in Illinois is spans more than 2.2 million square feet and features nearly 300 stores and restaurants, including a 37,000-square-foot Primark clothing store that opened in October.

Velocity will occupy a vacant 15,000-square-foot space and it secured a 10-year lease. The new venue will feature an esports lounge with more than 100 titles for PC and console gaming and a billiards lounge. It will host live tournaments, as well as parties and corporate events. Velocity has additional locations in Las Vegas and outside of Cincinnati.
